Family Killed in Plane Crash Near Keene New Hampshire

Seven people from three generations died when a twin engine Beech Baron crashed shortly after takeoff from Dillant Hopkins Airport in Swanzey. Investigators consider possible fuel contamination as a cause. Victims were visiting relatives in Newfane Vermont.

Wall Street fell sharply as manufacturing miss and downgrades of Citigroup and Ford weighed on sentiment. The Dow dropped 288.32 to 8375.18 while the Nasdaq slid 42.41 to 1272.44 and the S&P 500 fell 31.62 to 884.42 amid a broad market retreat.
