Ottawa High School cross country embraces larger team
Ottawa High School enters the season with expanded rosters under veteran coach Chris Kornhaus. About 30 runners, mostly freshmen, join a boys squad returning five holdovers led by Kevin Farrell, Hunter Peoples, David White, Parker Finch, and Jackson Schlotterback. Erika Doty anchors a inexperienced girls team. The goal is peak form by October for league and regional meets, with Frontier League competition expected to be tough. The season opened at Basehor Linwood and the Ottawa Invitational is scheduled for September 24 at Eisenhower course.
