Friends of champion golfer Payne Stewart express shock at news of the bizarre airplane crash that killed Stewart and five others Monday. Weather notes indicate Wednesday will be warm and mostly sunny with a high near 80 and a south wind 10 to 15 mph.
The Garnett City Commission will meet at 5 15 p m at city hall to discuss annexing property owned by William and Donna Walker into the city. They will also review participating in a shooting range development program with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks and purchasing a street sweeper.
A semi-trailer struck a Vincennes Lincoln High School bus at a railroad crossing about 8 a.m. injuring at least three people while about 60 students teachers and chaperones were aboard. Nearly 70 people reported bumps and bruises in the incident 25 miles south of Terre Haute Indiana.
