Salina district to hire consultant for superintendent search
Salina School Board voted 5-1 to hire the Kansas Association of School Boards for 4750 to guide the replacement of outgoing Superintendent Gary Norris. The option chosen by the board was a lower cost plan with regional posting, applicant screening and background checks, aiming for 3 to 5 finalists by spring. The dissenting member urged more aggressive recruiting and outside consultants.
