Markets drop as tech earnings weigh on Wall Street
Wall Street extended losses for a third day led by Computer Associates and other big names after weak quarterly results. The Dow fell to 9,557.94 while the Nasdaq and S P 500 slipped. Japan shares tumbled 5.1 percent as dollar weakness and earnings worries rattled investors. Labor data offered little relief with jobless claims at 386,000, the lowest since September 2001. Local grain prices were listed for several counties and towns.
