Monkey Tale Ends Mockingly Mittingly in George

A mummified monkey found in a downtown store in Prince George British Columbia shocks workers renovating the site. Bryan Hill reported seeing the rigid two foot long specimen hanging from a pipe and later calling the SPCA. The animal had taunted by children and died from starvation while the SPCA noted only a skeleton remained.

Overstock and closeout depot announces ELECTRIC and Gas scooters and new exercise bikes. Princeton Methodist Church hosts a chicken noodle supper and bazaar on Saturday October 25 from 5:00 pm. Adults pay six dollars and children under twelve three dollars.

Obituary: Robert L. Alley of Melvern dies at 62

Robert L. Alley, 62, died October 20, 2003, at VA Medical Center Topeka. He was born December 3, 1940, near Melvern. A Navy veteran, farmer and stockman, he married Georgia Kay Rockers in 1966 and Cheryl Lynn in 2001. Survived by wife Cheryl, son Joe, daughters Teresa and Helen, two stepdaughters, one sister, and 11 grandchildren. Burial at Pleasant View Cemetery Melvern with a memorial to Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center.

Jogger seeks damages from cow owner on city trail

Elaine Kingston, 57, rammed three times by a protective cow while jogging on a Boulder Open Space trail last March, sues cow owner Albert Hogan and the city for lost wages after two pelvic fractures. Hogan says he has not contacted Kingston since filing the claim. insurance offered a settlement she calls inadequate.

Markets Fall on Earnings Caution After Mixed Results

Wall Street declined as investors digested numerous earnings reports and found third quarter results unmet. Dow fell 90.51 to 9,657.13 while Nasdaq dropped 25.96 to 1,914.94 and S&P 500 slipped 9.61 to 1,036.42. Ameen Inc beat estimates by two cents but failed to lift sentiment. Local grain quotes and county price postings for wheat, corn, milo, and soybeans were listed for several areas.
