Topeka couple to demonstrate stained glass at Achievement Day
Mr and Mrs Manuel Ybarra will demonstrate stained glass making at Extension Homemaker Unit Achievement Day on Oct 26 at Elliott Hall. Ybarra, a 14 year old apprentice with Malloy Glass, has created windows for Dr Pepper, SMU, banks, restaurants, churches and homes. He has studied in Europe and Mexico and taught at several universities before teaching at Washburn University and planning a Topeka store. Slides of Franklin County windows and unit displays will accompany the event, with doors opening at 10 30 a m.

The Extension Homemakers Council announces a caning workshop on Nov 6 from 9 to 3 at Sunflower Plaza with Odena Detwiler as instructor, plus a milling home grains session at 10 in the same plaza with a salad luncheon. The fourth Family Forum planning meeting is Monday at 3 30 in the Court building basement, and aging topics will be discussed along with youth involvement. Registration at the county Extension office is required. max 10 attendees, two spots open.

First For Dairy Day At Kansas State University
