Refueling Wing Performs Aerial Refueling Exercise
A 190th Air Refueling Wing crew led by boom operator Jon Swinney trains on mid air refueling of three B 2 stealth bombers from Forbes Field to Dodge City and Kansas City before returning. Col Jarrod Frantz notes demand for refueling capabilities due to postwar base realignments and global threats. The unit, about 900 strong, includes civil engineering and medical teams and has deployed roughly 250 members this year with many more slated for Middle East duty.
