Parks Receives Kansas Distinguished Arts Award

Gordon Parks, famed photographer and author, returned to Kansas to accept the first Distinguished Arts Award from the Kansas Arts Commission. He reflected on his rough Fort Scott youth, his self taught path, and a career spanning Life magazine and fashion shoots. Governor Graves joined 10 others in honoring Parks and 10 educators and artists.
