Central Heights Williamsburg and Marais des Cygnes Valley plan homecoming kings and queens this week in ceremonies before Friday night football. Central Heights lists four queen candidates and four kings with crowning at 7 p.m. before Osage City, Williamsburg has four queen and four king hopefuls with coronation at 6 30 p.m. before Hartford, and Marais des Cygnes Valleys two queen and two king contenders with crowns at 7 p.m. before Burlingame.

West Franklin district to add security system and guard
The West Franklin school board approved a district wide security system and a full time sheriff deputy as a guard.
