Survey finds new car tires deliver best value over miles
J D Power and Associates surveyed 19 000 new vehicle buyers and found they expect tires to last about 45 000 miles and satisfaction rose slightly this year as original equipment tires improved. The milder winter may have boosted perceived wear, with under one in five reporting tire problems in year one and Michelin leading the car and compact van brands, closely followed by BF Goodrich Pirelli and Uniroyal.
