Monks Hold Morning Chant at Salina Temple Northwest of City
The Theravada monks at Wat Videsdhammarangsi northwest of Salina begin daily chants from 6 to 7 a.m. led by elder Laungpho Miang. They recite Pali prayers, bow, and meditate, preparing for teachings and duties at the temple. Volunteers help prepare breakfasts as the Kathina festival approaches, with lay supporters like Hommai Denham and Kham Ke ophaymany-Gonzalez aiding in meals and temple upkeep.
