Helen Dorothy Emma Cruse, 89, formerly Osawatomie, died November 11 2003 at Midland Hospice Topeka. She was born April 8 1914 in Otis to Peter and Marie Rothe. She married Austin Farley in 1931 and Henry Cruse in 1970. Survived by two sons Samuel and Austin Farley both of Burlingame, brother Earl Rothe, sister Rachel Bauder, four grandchildren and three great grandsons. Burial Osawatomie Cemetery. Former Anderson County Sheriff William G. Gadelman dies at 88

William G. Gadelman, 88, Garnett, longtime Anderson County Sheriff from 1963 to 1981, died November 13, 2003, at Anderson County Hospital Long Term Care. Born August 3, 1915, in Palisades Colorado, he served in World War II and was a member of VFW Post 6397 and Delphian Lodge 44.
