Ottawa Rotary club members host a dinner in the annex of the Methodist church at Lane to honor Albert Lambdin 80 a retired railroad clerk who died Saturday at Santa Fe hospital Topeka He was born November 18 1874 in Clark County Illinois and lived in Wichita 35 years before moving to Ottawa He was a member of Ottawa Christian church and the Ottawa Lodge No 18 Rotary plan an annual rural dinner with Dr Ray Pyles state veterinarian as principal speaker Also notes parade prize pickups and a lost leather purse near the post office plus county officials attending the Kansas Official Council convention in Wichita Bruce Spears Ruby Schwarz Frank Betz and other Franklin County officials attend.
Obituary notes former Worshipful Master of the Ottawa lodge and Worthy Patron of Union Chapter No 15 Eastern Star. Survived by wife Catherine Lambdin, daughter Lucile Patterson of Lawrence, two grandchildren including John W. Patterson, and four great grandchildren. Funeral at Lamb Funeral Home tomorrow at 1 pm with Masonic lodge participation. interment Monticello cemetery near DeSoto Kansas. Also notes Mrs Sadie T Baldwin died in Bellingham Washington aged 72. funeral held there and burial Greenacres Memorial Park. born Agricola June 12 1883. survived by husband John H Baldwin, seven children, four sons, two brothers and 15 grandchildren.
