Funeral Sunday for Dr Victor Haury
Services for Dr. Victor G. Haury wellsville physician and former Ottawa resident will be held Sunday at 2 30 p m at the Wellsville Methodist church with William Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in Wellsville cemetery. The Rev. members and friends attended the service. the LW club hosted a reception. Dr. Haury authored 35 pharmacology papers and taught at Jefferson Medical College. Surviving are his wife Lucile and two sons Victor G. Haury Jr and Nicholas Arnold Haury. five siblings.

Sod House Tour Draws Tourists From Ottawa U Student
Ottawa university student Ronald Thiel ran a summer sod house exhibit in Colby Kansas for 1953 open May 1 to Oct 15 drawing over 30,000 visitors. The authentic sod house, built of prairie sod blocks, illustrated pioneer life with period furniture and tools. An association Sons and Daughters of the Soddies formed with Thiel as secretary and W A Kear as president.
