Anderson and Osage counties will be served by new sheriffs after Tuesdays election. Franz Aubry defeated Anderson County Sheriff Fred Litsch 2033 to 1520. In Osage County David Cain beat Jerry Ormsby 4578 to 102693 votes. Current sheriff Mickey Ordonez did not seek re election. Controversy marked both races.

Miami County voters defeated a proposed half cent sales tax to fund ambulance service and the health department. The measure failed 5 130 to 5 054, leaving the current 6.4 percent rate in place.
