Brownback wary of power shift in Jeffords decision

New OHS band instructor to take over City Band
Chris Reynolds, Ottawa High School band director, becomes conductor of the Ottawa City Band replacing longtime director Brent Wheeler. Reynolds aims to bring younger players into the group, which gathers 30 to 50 local musicians for Tuesday summer shows in City Park. First rehearsal May 29 at OHS. performances run six weeks starting June at 7 p.m. in City Park, with a July Fourth show planned.

An attorney for George Burton Waddle argues that a Dec 9 2000 search of his property may have relied on illegally obtained information. Waddle 44 faces manufacture of methamphetamine charges.
