Attorneys seek to spare life of accused killer in Salina case
Attorneys for Alan E White, 26, accused of killing Delores McKim, 81, her daughter Carol Aber crombie, 56, and great grandson Christopher Aber crom bie, 5, last July in Saline County seek to bar the death penalty arguing prosecutorial notice was improper. A judge will rule after a hearing in about a month as defense claims the state failed to list aggravating circumstances. The three victims were bludgeoned at McKim's home. White's trial is tentatively set for January. The defense says prosecutors did not receive the motion and did not learn of it until a Salina Journal report. The motion was sent by mail due to length.

Bombing survivor modifies McVeigh link testimony in federal case
Daina Bradley, grievously harmed in the April 19 1995 bombing, testified she saw two men exit a Ryder truck before the blast, differing from prior statements of a single olive skinned man. She could not confirm the white man was McVeigh. Defense cross examined memory reliability and potential influence of news reports, while prosecutors note her past statements and injuries.
