Assassination of Haitian Businessman Outside Aristide Home
In Port au Prince, a prominent businessman, Michel Gonzales, was shot dead in front of his daughter Ketly outside Jean Bertrand Aristide's residence. A gunman on foot killed him after confronting a follower on a motorcycle. an accomplice fled. Witnesses described the dramatic attack as it occurred Monday night.
