Hall Moves To Eliminate Williamson From Welfare Board

Governor Fred Hall initiates removal of Blake A. Williamson Kansas City attorney from the State Board of Social Welfare. Williamson declined comment. Williamson has ties to political factions in Wyandotte County and faced objections over holding multiple posts. The medical board may replace him, but it did not plan to do so. Williamson’s actions as counsel and representative are cited as inconsistent with public policy and good cause for removal.
