The Jim Tawney Auto Center relocates Monday from 2324 E Logan St to 2141 S Princeton Rd Ottawa near Century 21 and a former KFC site. Central RV plans to move into Tawney’s building, aiming to open by August.

Ottawa firefighters aided with twelve medical calls Wednesday and Thursday.
A Lexus driven by Michael R. Meauliffe Urbandale Iowa crossed the median on I-35 near Williamsburg Kansas, entered a field and caught fire. A Homeland Security officer attempted to rescue him but could not break the window. Meauliffe died from smoke asphyxiation. Witnesses and a truck driver aided before EMS arrival. Police noted no exit by Meauliffe and continued investigations.
