Four-Hers Dig Trees In Easter Egg Fashion

Four 4-H members and two leaders from Trail Blazers and Willing Workers dig out a small Pin Oak tree for transplanting. Under guidance from Dale Ackerman of Woodsum Nursery, they learn to lift the ball of dirt, wrap it in burlap, and secure it with nails. The group hopes the trees will grow, with future plantings planned at home. Enrollment for 4-H County Camp and Round-Up is down this year with only two youths signed for Round-Up and 62 for County Camp.
