Manhunt nets Kansas most wanted fugitive captured
Geary County deputies arrested Mark A. Lair around 10 15 a.m. after a 12 hour manhunt. Lair, on Kansas Most Wanted lists for aggravated escape from custody and warrants for vehicle theft and meth production, exchanged gunfire with deputies Sunday night during a traffic stop and fled on foot. He was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries before reentering a vehicle pursuit that ended near U S 77 and Kansas 18.
