Obituary of Mary Ethel Guyer of Roseburg Oregon

Mary Ethel Guyer, born December 25, 1921 in Rantoul, died April 30, 2003 at the Veterans Home at The Dalles Oregon. A former Coast Guard SPARS member, she taught school in California and at Buffalo after Baker University. She married Gene Guyer in 1948, who died in 1992. Survivors include four daughters and a brother James of Rantoul. Services were planned in Oregon.

U S officials confirmed that about 900 million dollars in U S currency was removed from Iraq s Central Bank just before U S bombing of Baghdad The money reportedly disappeared in three tractor trailer loads ordered by Saddam Hussein with Qusai involved The raid occurred around 4 a m March 18 and intelligence suggested the cash may have been moved into Syria The Times noted the money equaled about a quarter of the bank s hard currency reserves and portions possibly recovered later by U S forces
