Franklin County dust control program opens applications
Franklin County invites property owners to join the 2017 dust control program with magnesium chloride on rock roads. The April start, 1.40 dollars per foot with a 300 foot minimum, and April 14 deadline for applications were announced by Public Works Director Jim Haag. The county supplies flags for marking, and the contractor will measure from the first flag to the paid distance. Bids to hire a contractor will be opened, with work typically running mid April to mid May depending on weather and schedule. For more information call 785 229 3550.
