Franklin County livestock group to hear BSE update
The Franklin County Livestock Association and Kansas Livestock Association invite all local producers to a dinner and meeting at Celebration Hall Ottawa. Rich McKee will discuss legislative and regulatory issues including the December Washington state BSE case and the U.S. Animal Identification Plan. John Donley will update beef promotion and research funded by the $1 per head checkoff. Proceeds from a silent auction fund the association scholarship.
