Carlin Predicts Liquor Issue Passes House Next Week
Gov. John Carlin says the Kansas House is within five votes of 84 needed for a liquor by the drink constitutional amendment. He notes few strong no votes and expects a final vote after debates on a version by the House committee, while differences with the Senate remain. Carlin also backs a separate property tax classification proposal to ease statewide reassessment impacts.
