Ottawa woman cited for suspended license at Mulberry Street

Carolyn OMalley, 44, of Ottawa, was cited and released at 12:32 a.m. Tuesday after police cited her on suspicion of driving with a suspended license in the 500 block of North Mulberry Street.

Stolen Dirt Posts Lumber Reported in Ottawa and Pomona

A 37 year old Ottawa man reports theft of a large dirt pile along with 25 posts and 75 pieces of treated lumber valued at 550 dollars from 1600 block of Haskell Road. A 61 year old Pomona man reports a Coleman generator worth 650 dollars stolen from his shed between Monday evening and Tuesday morning on 300 block of East A Street.

Ottawa Woman Reports Battery On Saturday

Police reports show at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday a 62-year-old Ottawa woman said she was battered Saturday by a 41-year-old Ottawa man. Earlier, at 9:58 a.m. Tuesday officers took a 44-year-old Ottawa man into protective custody after welfare checks found bizarre behavior.

Fire department reports at 2 15 a.m. on Tuesday at 506 S Main St due to smoke detector activation with no fire. At 9 a.m. Tuesday at 1335 S Mulberry St a controlled burn was authorized. At 8 56 p.m. Tuesday at 1331 S Maple St investigators checked a possible natural gas leak. Franklin County fire departments logged a grass fire at 3830 Stafford Road Wellsville at 10 p.m. Tuesday. Firefighters assisted with two medical calls.
