Skinning Cats Anatomy Lab Teaches Anatomy to Female Students
A Central Heights anatomy class conducted a hands on dissection of cats beginning February 6. The all female group studied skeletal and muscular systems identifying muscles and organs. Students removed skin and tissue then examined the heart lungs liver kidneys and intestines before an identification test. Cats were euthanized and donated to provide a human like reference for biology lessons.

Indian food broadens Mrs Kinyons English class learning
In sophomore English, students read By Any Other Name by Santha Rama Rau and sampled Indian dishes from Karma Sutra in Overland Park Kansas and Kansas City Missouri. The food helped connect students to Indian culture and enhanced understanding of the story.

Candy Grams Fundraiser Aids Central Heights Choir
Central Heights Swing Group runs a Candy Gram fundraiser from early February to Valentine’s Day for K 12 students. The team raised a bit more than last year and plans to fund vocal group trips. Desi Wichman enjoys performing for elementary students and sees their happy reactions.

Pack the House Night at Central Heights Feb 17
Central Heights held a Pack the House night for varsity games against Osawato mie with booster club selling white shirts to create a white-out. Illness reduced attendance but players reported a decent turnout and a win led by Wade Davis.
