Tornado-rippled farmstead describes February storm damage
A late February storm ripped a shed roof, gutting a house and slamming a swing set and trampoline at the Barkley farm on Florida Terrace. The flash event, lasting under five minutes, damaged barns, a shop, and a tractor, with power down and no injuries reported. Authorities noted widespread county damage. Beth and Joyce Barkley linked the severity to unseasonably warm, springlike conditions.
