Wellsville trio earns state medals in 3-1A wrestling
Wellsville High School sent three wrestlers to the 3-1A state meet in Hays. Jesse LaMay placed second at 160 pounds, Zach Hoehn earned third at 125, and Jesse Campbell finished sixth at 189 after competing at 171 last year. Central Heights’ David Green went 1-2 at 285, Dustin Asbury was 17-12 at 125, and Ottawa’s Robert Retzer went 1-2 at 285.

The West Franklin High School boys basketball team lost 46 35 to top seeded Burlington in the first round of 3A sub state at Burlington. Burlington advances to Friday semifinals against the winner of Wellsville-Northeast Arma. The Falcons finish 1 20.
