Strong California quake rattles Upland and region
A 5.5 magnitude quake centered near Upland shook southern California and distant cities including Las Vegas and San Diego. Aftershocks followed with a 4.8 event, injuries to two people and one woman going into labor were reported, with officials noting a 5 percent chance of a larger quake within three days. The San Onofre plant remained online.
