Mrs Burnside of Stephenson related to Mr Hill's sister and to the late Mrs Glen Hill. Wayne Lewis of 504 East Logan reported a hit and run last night targeting his Ford pickup, which was parked near the Ottawa Bowl.

Franki Orme was fatally shot at his farm eight miles east of Kingman Kansas yesterday. Sheriff Virgil Thomas said Harry Pickard, 46, was held for investigation after claiming the shooting was accidental. Pickard said a 22 caliber rifle he was cleaning discharged, striking Orme in the head.

In Saigon an aide to Secretary of State Dulles rejected Burma’s proposal for an unofficial mission to meet Chou En-lai, saying Burma had not yet relayed Chou’s offer. He noted the United States would likely use existing channels to press for the 17 Americans held on espionage charges by Peiping.

Prime Minister Churchill told the House of Commons the United States is the only country capable of delivering a full scale hydrogen bomb attack on short notice and holds a decisive edge over the Soviet Union in nuclear knowledge and power. He noted Britain has begun hydrogen bomb efforts and cited US testing history in 1952.
DENVER David R. Waller and James W. Zink, both from Leavenworth Kansas, were sentenced to prison terms for a string of robberies. Waller received 12 to 20 years while Zink got 8 to 10 years after pleading guilty to a $90 supermarket robbery on February 4 and admitting three additional holdups. They were linked to the case after a Leavenworth accomplice, Palma Lea Pogue, 20, shot herself while playing Russian roulette. Waller and Zink witnessed the shooting.
