Man volunteers to jail after house arrest in Missouri murder case
In Jefferson City Michael Kempker II, 20, under house arrest since December for second degree murder, asked to be jailed early due to home troubles. Sheriff Hemeyer escorted him back to jail where he has been well behaved. Prosecutors may seek up to 30 years in prison rather than life. Thrasher was beaten and run over before his body was found in a ditch near Russellville.
