K-68 Detour Drives Ottawa Pomona Traffic Changes

A BNSF track project near Richter causes a 47 mile detour for K-68 drivers this week. Ottawa officials say detour signs will direct motorists via U.S. 59 to U.S. 56, then U.S. 75 to Lyndon and back to U.S. 75, with signage at key intersections and message boards along the route. The plan aims to reopen K-68 by Friday though timing remains uncertain. For questions contact KDOT staff in Garnett and Chanute.
