Forgotten cabins by the river near Kiefer's Dam
The Miller and Kiefer dams hosted weekend cabins in the 1950s to 1970s, with few records since. A 1957 church group meeting at the George Phibbs cabin is noted, a 1959 ad offered a cabin at Kiefer's Dam for 285 dollars, and a 1958 reference mentions a Shadle cabin.
