Cosell Lashes USFL Case With Spectacle in Court
Howard Cosell dominated a USFL antitrust trial day with a flamboyant three and a half hour testimony that diverged from ABC witnesses. He peppered remarks with references to Iran hostage crisis and pop culture figures while denying a disinterested stance and hinting at prior talks with Donald Trump. Cosell’s performance drew cheers and quips from spectators as the trial neared its end, with Judge Leisure noting the entertainment value.
