Osawatomie Teen Killed In US-169 Crash Near Spring Hill
A 16 year old Osawatomie girl Katherine Felt died after a two car collision on US-169 near Spring Hill. Her father Richard Felt 41 was flown to KU Medical Center in critical condition. The other driver Pamela Mellegaard of Overland Park was not hurt. The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating.

Attorney General Bob Stephan says Kansas police logged 5,212 domestic violence incidents and 3,264 arrests in January through March. FBI data began this year, so no national comparison. Of 46 homicides statewide, 17, or 37 percent, were domestic violence related. Stephan called domestic violence the most common violent crime.

Deadly tornadoes and powerful storms swept the Midwest for a third day tearing roofs from homes and a prison, cutting power to over 900000 customers across Wisconsin Illinois Indiana Michigan and Ohio. At least seven deaths are linked to the storms and about 40 people are injured. In Dunn and Oregon Wisconsin the twister damaged 68 homes and 164 others with 30 minor injuries reported.
