Osage County sheriff says blood alcohol levels above .08 were found in one drowning victim and alcohol contributed to both deaths of Ralph Don Avery, 55, and David L. Whitt, 34 near Pomona Lake dam. Ex Franklin chief office in limbo RTC reports
The RTC says the former Franklin Federal Savings headquarters at Seventh and Main remains in limbo as buyers exercise options. First National, the lead purchaser among five banks, must decide within 30 days from June 11 on exercising its option for the building and related deposits and assets totaling about 288 million. If declined, RTC will market the property as real estate owned. Commercial Federal informs customers of the change and new ownership with RTC notices on rates.
