City honors four retiring workers as TV rates to drop
Ottawa officials recognized four retiring city employees Lester Wells Mary Gilmore Jerry Harrell and LaVern Roller at a regular meeting. Tele-Communications Inc regional manager Todd Crathird said basic cable would fall from 9.33 to 8.53 a month beginning July 1 with about a 13 percent cut for basic plus expanded packages and a 4 percent cut on installation services. Some equipment costs may rise under new FCC guidelines. Crathird aims to add more programming by year end including possible pay per view.
