Gore presses for tighter gun safety at mayors meeting
Vice President Al Gore urged more than 300 mayors to back stricter gun laws, warning the NRA can sway Washington. He noted a Senate gun show background checks measure and urged crossing party lines for children’s safety, while releasing a Justice Treasury report on youth gun crime. Gore also outlined jobs, education, and urban development aims, receiving a standing ovation for his preschool education pledge.
