State board asked to settle Abilene Chapman land dispute
The State Board of Education is asked to approve transferring 84.5 acres in northwest Dickinson County from Chapman to Abilene. Chapman opposes the move, residents are split, and a hearing officer recommended denial. If approved Abilene would more than double in size while Chapman loses about seven percent of its territory.
