Horn flies can cause weight spread of 15 to 20 pounds at weaning between treated calves and untreated counterparts. Home lawn moths become sod webworms causing brown patches. recommended insecticides include Aspen diazinon dursban and Sevin with first spray 7 to 10 days after peak moth presence, likely June, plus a July or August second spray. Chinch bugs appear in toyosia Bermuda and bluegrass. watch for yellow turf patches and odor, with nymphs causing most damage and big eyed bugs as beneficials not to be destroyed.
