Precautions For Tornadoes Given
Tornado counts rise through May with 700 plus events and about 1 000 injuries and 59 fatalities. Authorities attribute activity to a strong jet stream, urging immediate shelter when watches or warnings are issued. Seek interior shelter, avoid windows, and use basements or interior rooms on the lowest floor. Mobile homes require tiedowns or relocation to sturdy structures. Civil Defense volunteers, REACT, church basements, Anchor Savings and courthouse basement are noted shelters. Cover head and face to protect against debris.

Remarks on secretaries from Hal Boyle
Hal Boyle riffs on secretary life with jests about washing room calls, loves for bosses, dating, spelling quirks, condolence notes, and jokes about a client dog. The humor targets office work, relationships, and professional nuances in a metropolitan setting.
