Truss Bridges Studied By Kansas State Student
Ottawa native Jim Coen, a Kansas State University civil engineering senior, traveled over 300 miles in Franklin County to photograph and sketch aging truss bridges once used by horse and buggy. He notes modern concrete replacements erase history and urges preservation of worthy structures as they span roads from rural growth to flood era events.
