Pilot spots body in Cottonwood River near Emporia
A body found in the Cottonwood River is believed to be Colleen D. Kennedy, 21, a missing Emporia State University student from Garden City. Police say Kennedy disappeared Saturday after she and a boyfriend waded at the dam and he slipped into the water. The body was seen Tuesday by a home-built airplane pilot about two miles downstream from the dam.
