County planning panel weighs new addressing system
Lori Alvarado reports at a Franklin County planning hearing where residents discuss replacing the current road names with a new system tied to U.S. states for north south roads and Kansas counties for east west roads. The change aims to improve enhanced 911 addressing and mail delivery, with even numbers on the south and west sides and odd numbers on the north and east sides. Some locals, including Ken Davidson of Sand Creek Nursery, oppose the shift citing tradition, as discussion continues.
