Social events honor Princeton guest Bill Baxter
BILL BAXTER of Princeton, who left for Gale Institute of Minneapolis, Minn., was honored at several social events. A farewell picnic at Forest Park followed a Friday ice cream social hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Baxter. Family gathering for the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank N. Bechtle occurred at the Briscoe home with many relatives present and a devotional led by Mrs. Robert Steele. The Appanoose Baptist W.M.S. Briscoe group held a meeting with Bible verses and votes to support the community recreational program. True Kindred initiated several members at Masonic Temple with plans to elect vacancies next meeting and suspend summer sessions. Recruit Class at North Baptist donated to the church building fund. The article notes birthdays and various local social events surrounding Baxter and community members.
