Ottawa school board approved housing sixth graders at district elementary schools and seventh and eighth graders at Ottawa High School next fall. OHS space would be revamped with some vocational programs relocated, including potential use of the former Ottawa Tire building and the Ottawa Library for classes, though rent could be about 50000 yearly. The Wal Mart building was ruled out as a middle school site, and officials will proceed with plans and flexibility for future decisions.
