Captain Ronald C. Small, formerly of Ottawa, now serves with the Area Defense Counsel at McGuire Air Force Base New Jersey. A 1982 Ottawa High School graduate, he is the son of Ronald and Mary Small. In Macomb Timothy Gene Marlar earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Illinois University.

Teacher leads trio of OHS juniors to Mexico trip

Keefer moved to Ottawa High School teaching both music and English before becoming language arts. she was cheer sponsor for AL years and plans more reading, music, and time with family. Marilyn Hay spent 23 years teaching home economics at OHS and reflects on changes in schools and student motivation. Betty Hazen taught in several schools, including OMS and OHS, and recalls family background in Burma and India while noting rising home instability. Marie Girard leaves after 34 years for driver education at Arma with pay raise, embracing gardening and travel. she helped lead Kayettes and NFL-affiliated groups. Doyle Reichard, long-time biology and genetics teacher at OHS since 1967, looks forward to outdoor work and time with family. Dorothy Chaney, OMS counselor for 11 years, plans painting and writing while enjoying cooking and grandchildren.
